I remember I remember The lakes, the lanes, The very blue And endless, clouded sky; The Kiva, Red River, Children safe in the yard; Night trains, Kennedy, And half a keg of beer. Bio-labs and barbecue, Twilight balcony And student bikes Heading home; Classes, Cuba And car repairs; Swedish Christmas In the corner stairs. The sky still rolls Endless player piano clouds; Grief and triumph, And a good will In the Knutsens, Madsens, Andersons.
